Join us for a free learning webinar – Tertiary teaching online: pedagogy and practice. What do I need to know to be an effective, engaging teacher in the online space?

When: Friday 19 June 2020 at 12 noon
Cost: Free

At this 60-minute session New Zealand subject matter experts Mark Nichols (Open Polytechnic) and Ali Hughes (TANZ eCampus) discuss:

What does ‘effective online teaching’ mean?
• framing the role of the online teacher
• the myth of ‘blended learning’
• the importance of your context

And how you can:
• create an online learning context in the way in which you design your offerings
• facilitate in that context
• ensure learners are ready for learning in that context.

This session will focus on the why and how, including the evidence for online teaching approaches and how these are being used in the New Zealand context.

You will have the opportunity to ask presenters questions in a facilitated question and answer session following the presentations.

Registrations are required for the session. Please complete the registration form below.

The TEC will record the webinar and make it available at a later date on www.tec.govt.nz.
